Cookie Policy

Cookies and similar technologies, including local storage and session storage, help operate HireKey, remember preferences and measure use. This policy distinguishes the public website at hirekey.io from the signed-in application at app.hirekey.io.

Public website choices

On the public website, use Cookie Settings in the footer to change your analytics selection.

• European Union and United Kingdom: website analytics and PostHog replay remain off until you accept analytics. Declining keeps them off.
• United States and other regions: website analytics operates unless you decline. Declining disables Google Analytics, changes PostHog to its cookieless mode and disables PostHog replay.

Cookieless analytics still processes technical information to measure activity.

Application analytics

The application uses PostHog to measure page visits and feature use and to record interactions through session replay. Signed-in activity is linked to your HireKey account. Replays can include visible text and inputs outside live voice interview coaching, including resume and job content. Password inputs are masked.

Content in live voice interview coaching is excluded from replay and automatic interaction capture. Page visits and explicitly recorded feature events can still be counted without recording the conversation.

What we use

• Sign-in and preferences: browser storage helps keep you signed in and remembers your settings. Your website analytics choice is stored for up to 365 days, unless you change it or clear it sooner.
• Analytics: PostHog measures website use and provides session replay; Google Analytics measures website traffic and referral sources. Website PostHog analytics storage may persist for up to 12 months, and website session replays are retained for 30 days. Google Analytics cookies commonly last up to two years. The website choices above govern these services.
• Live voice interview coaching: a completed interview is temporarily held in your browser tab until its debrief saves successfully or you sign out. See Data Security and Retention for saved-record and deletion details.
• Videos, forms and tools: Vimeo supports video playback, MailerLite supports email forms, and embedded HireKey tools provide interactive features. These services may receive technical information and use browser storage when you use them. They remain available regardless of your website analytics selection.

Managing browser data

Browser settings let you block or delete cookies and other stored data. This can remove preferences, sign you out or interrupt features. It does not automatically delete information already held by HireKey or its providers. Use privacy@hirekey.io for a request about previously collected information.

We do not use HireKey analytics to display advertising on HireKey or sell personal information for advertising. See the Privacy Policy for broader information handling.

Changes and contact

We update this policy when technologies, controls or information handling change. The effective date identifies the current version.
