By creating an account or using HireKey, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
HireKey helps with resume tailoring, cover letters, job tracking, company research, interview preparation and coaching. Some features use AI to produce drafts, feedback, scores and suggestions. See our AI Usage Policy.
Feature access and usage limits depend on your plan and available credits.
HireKey does not guarantee interviews, offers or other job outcomes. It does not act as an employer or recruiter, submit applications automatically on your behalf, or sell candidate information to employers. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, biased or generic. Review it before relying on it. Scores are preparation feedback, not an employer's actual screening result or a binding evaluation of your ability.
HireKey currently supports Google sign-in. You are responsible for your account and the content you submit. Protect your sign-in credentials and contact privacy@hirekey.io if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not create accounts to evade usage restrictions or abuse free access.
Paid Premium is $39 per month in U.S. dollars. Your checkout shows the price, billing interval, any eligible discount and applicable taxes before you confirm a purchase. Premium starts through an explicit upgrade; using Free does not itself authorize a paid subscription.
A paid subscription renews monthly and charges the payment method you authorize until canceled. You can cancel through the billing controls. Cancellation keeps Premium available through the end of the current paid period, then returns the account to Free. Cancellation and account deletion are different actions.
If a renewal payment fails, Premium access may end if the payment issue is not resolved. Your account and purchased-credit balance follow the rules below.
Only users on Premium may buy credit packs: five voice credits for $9.99 or 15 resume credits for $9.99. These packs are separate purchases from the recurring subscription.
Purchased credits do not expire and remain available to use after you downgrade to Free. On Free, your included allowance for the relevant feature is used first. Once that allowance is exhausted, available purchased credits for that feature are used. You cannot buy additional packs while on Free.
Deleting your account forfeits all unused purchased credits. Included plan allowances are separate from purchased credits and are subject to the limits shown in the service.
Subscription payments, including renewals, and credit-pack purchases are nonrefundable, except where applicable law requires otherwise. We do not issue partial refunds for unused subscription time or unused purchased credits.
Canceling your subscription stops its next renewal. You keep Premium access through the end of the current paid billing period, then downgrade to Free. Any unused purchased credits remain available under Section 6. Deleting your account instead ends access and forfeits unused purchased credits; it does not entitle you to a refund.
Nothing in these Terms limits a refund, cancellation or other consumer right that applicable law requires.
Use HireKey to improve your materials, research jobs and practice interviews. Follow any employer's rules about AI assistance and answer honestly if asked about your use of it.
You may not impersonate others, misrepresent authorship when directly asked, fabricate qualifications to deceive employers, harass people, abuse free-tier limits with multiple accounts or bots, scrape HireKey or extract its output in bulk, upload material you have no right to use, or test our systems for vulnerabilities without explicit written permission.
We enforce these rules in proportion to the violation. Responses may include warnings, feature restrictions, suspension or termination, and legal action for serious violations such as fraud or attacks. To report abuse or appeal a suspension or termination, email privacy@hirekey.io. We aim to respond to appeals within seven days.
You retain ownership of the content you upload. You give HireKey a limited license to process it to operate the service for you. That license ends when you delete the content or account, subject to the limited retention and legal requirements explained in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your content or use it to train AI models.
You may use generated resumes, letters and other output for your job search. Review and edit it before sharing. Similar inputs may produce similar outputs for different users. We do not claim copyright in AI-generated output or guarantee its uniqueness.
HireKey is not an unlimited archive. Document version limits, recovery periods, inactivity cleanup, coaching-transcript handling and interview-prep replacement are described in Data Security and Retention. Download material you want to keep, especially a completed coaching transcript before saving its debrief or closing the tab.
You can delete your account in Settings. Account deletion ends account access, forfeits purchased credits and stops future subscription charges. It is not the same as canceling renewal while keeping the account through the paid period. Refund eligibility is governed by the refund section and applicable law.
HireKey relies on third parties for hosting, payments, email, analytics, AI and other services. Their services may have their own terms. The HireKey name, logo, website and software are owned by us, except for your content and AI-generated output in which we disclaim copyright. Send copyright or other legal notices to privacy@hirekey.io.
You can stop using HireKey and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, unresolved payment failure after reasonable notice, legal requirements, or discontinuation of a feature with reasonable notice. Provisions that should logically survive, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits and dispute resolution, survive termination.
HireKey is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or perfectly accurate, or that following AI feedback will produce a particular job-search outcome. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HireKey is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. Our total liability to you for a claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event or $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits.
Please contact privacy@hirekey.io and give us a reasonable chance to resolve a dispute. These Terms are governed by Washington State law. A dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in state or federal courts in Spokane County, Washington, subject to rights or protections that applicable law does not allow these Terms to exclude.
We will notify you by email or in-product notice before material changes take effect. Older versions are available on request at privacy@hirekey.io.
